Another Million Man Hours Without a Lost Time Injury

Kenya Fluorspar is very pleased to announce that it achieved another One Million Man hours without a Lost Time Injury on 27th October 2015.
Our last reportable incident was recorded on 31 January, 2014 and since then we have operated for more than 18 months which makes this a remarkable achievement. To achieve this injury-free milestone took not only an individual, but team effort, throughout our entire operations.

Over the last few years the Safety & Health Department and employees have dedicated themselves improve on near miss reporting and not to leave any marginal for error. Employees are involved in all aspects of safety and injury prevention – from hazard assessments to standard operating procedures. Working safely is an essential corner stone of our job.
We will continue to confront potential injury risks by acknowledging its potential and impact by weaving prevention into our cultural fabric.
